Family Fail Jar
I love Mason Jars.
I have put quite a variety of things in them this year, such as pickled beets, applesauce, dilli beans, urges and now fails.
This is our Sann family fail jar. In this jar we put all of our failures, things like hitting our brother, not making the baseball team, failing a test, not talking kindly or dumping a can of baking soda in the brownie batter. (nope that has never happened in our house 🤪)
I created this fail jar because I want my self and my family to truly understand that failure is a part of succeeding. I want them to feel safe enough to share and acknowledge when something didn't go the way they intended.
I want to celebrate that with them and teach them self confidence, which is their ability to trust themselves, knowing that we can experience any emotion (including failure) without being harmed.
My mom had two wonderful sayings that I want to share.... "You are lovable and capable" and "This is hard, but you can do hard things." These two thoughts were spoken on a regular basis in my home when I was growing up. It provided me with a sense of self confidence where I was able to muster up just enough to take head on the challenge before me and be willing to fail along the way.
Let me take a moment to tell YOU that you are lovable, you are capable and you can do whatever hard things are in your way. I can help you along the way.
